THE CHALLENGE ST IT CLOUD
In partnership with SISTRAN, ST IT CLOUD developed an AI and Machine Learning solution aimed at the claim communication process on the AWS platform to optimize the pre-analysis process, Smart Miner receives images in various document formats from the claim communication kit claim and in addition to identifying the type, it also runs several algorithms to improve image quality, resize and separate documents sent in the same file, later extracting the information necessary for opening a claim.
KNOW THE SOLUTIONS ST IT CLOUD
The great challenge was based on the elaboration of the architecture and development of a system that was capable of analyzing files and images, through a Machine Learning model and computer vision algorithms, and delivering the pre-analysis automatically and accurately.
The four-hand design of the solution ST IT CLOUD + SISTRAN was based on AWS Textract, AWS Comprehend and SageMaker technologies.
According to Renato Calabro, CTO of ST IT CLOUD, “The current solution is the result of combining SISTRAN's insurance knowledge with the team's technical expertise. For this project, we provided a validation mat for document kits related to the opening of claims, preparing the document through various image treatments, typification and data extraction. Enabling cost optimization and resource reduction in the claim opening process.”
Smart Miner was announced at CQCS INNOVATION 2021 in the panel “AI optimizing claims”. The solution will bring innovation and agility in processes with great productivity benefits for the INSURANCE sector.
